FairPoint was first founded as an audio-only podcast hosted exclusively in Korean in March 2019 by Steve Han, Jean Min Lee, and Ryan Wi. Since the arrival of Joon Lee in 2020, FairPoint has evolved into a premium interview production project involving some of the biggest names in Asian football.
FairPoint has hosted highly in-depth interviews with former World Cup winnerJurgen Klinsmann, former Japan national team captain Maya Yoshida, Asian women’s football legend Ji So-yun, and head coach Paulo Bento, who previously led Portugal and Korea on continental and world stages.
After starting as an audio-only podcast in 2019, FairPoint’s contents have now reached a combined total of 3 million plays across all platforms.

Steve is a founding member, main interviewer, and editorial curator of FairPoint. Since 2022, he has also been the Korea Content Lead at FIFA after working for Goal.com since 2008.

Joon is a New York-based marketing specialist and the content producer for FairPoint. He also acts as FairPoint Podcast’s MLS and North American soccer correspondent.

Jean Min, a financial advisor, gave birth to the idea of FairPoint with his then acquaintance in 2018. He’s FairPoint Podcast’s regular panel, and provides logistical support from Korea.
